Q-switched Lasers for the Removal of Tattoos

The Q-switched laser targets the pigment of the tattoo depositing high levels of energy over very brief periods of time which microscopically shatters the pigment of the tattoo ink dispersing it in the skin. The pigment is then flushed away through the lymphatic system. A series of treatments is required.
